Description of the work
The volunteers are able to choose from a wide range of activities, some involving specialized fields like psychology or pedagogy. You can help the children in difficult situations, and other duties will be based on your abilities to perform either some artistic or sportive activity, for instance if you can play an instrument, paint or practice any sport. If you’re willing to share these abilities with other people, you are welcome to join, bear in mind that by doing this you’d be changing the lives of many kids. Also bear in mind that the centre has limited resources, so your initiative to improvise and face adverse situations is a key factor.
Keep in mind
It is better if you have experience with working with groups of children and youth. You need to be creative, responsible and dedicated to your tasks and like to work in a team.
Time:
Depending on the field you choose, you’ll have a flexible schedule, but it its very important that you attend the centre in the afternoon where most help is needed. Most of the children will be there at that time due to their schedule at school.
